CGI (Common Gateway Interface) scripts are programs used by a browser to run interactive site features. CGI scripts, which are stored in a separate directory on a Web server, run behind a wide variety of common Web procedures, from simple e-mail forms to complex shopping cart programs. When you set up your site on A2Z servers, you'll have access to a personal cgi-bin directory where you can store scripts that you've written or copied from the Web.
